The Supreme Court of Victoria issues “Probate,” a legal document that validates a Will, enabling the Executor to initiate the collection of the deceased’s assets.

“Letters of Administration” is a similar process where there is no Will then the next of kin is appointed to administer the estate and to collect and distribute the assets of the estate in accordance with the legislation.
