Wills are a crucial part of your personal and business assets and require careful planning and consideration. With blended families, children suffering from disabilities and life changes our team will provide advice and assistance in the preparation of your Will in determining who is responsible for your Estate (Executor) and who will receive your assets (Beneficiaries).

Creating a Will is very important to make sure that all your loved ones are taken care of and that all your assets are disbursed in accordance with your wishes upon your passing.

While making a Will can be intimidating our team can guide you through every step to reduce the risk of someone challenging your Will. A Will is normally challenged if a family member were left out of the Will or were not left enough. Other types of claims can also arise from lack of capacity, undue influence and breach of trust.

Enduring Power of Attorney (Financial)

Is a legal document by which you appoint a trusted person (referred to as “the attorney”) to make personal, financial, legal and property decisions on your behalf if you lose the mental capacity to do so yourself.

An Enduring Power of Attorney is given to someone that you trust to make the right financial and personal decisions on your behalf.

Some of the duties that an attorney can make on you behalf are; paying your bills, signing documents, purchasing or selling property, managing shares or bank accounts.

Medical Treatment Decision

Everyone has a right to make their own medical treatment decisions. However, if you are unable to make decisions either temporarily or permanently then you can choose a medical who can make medical decisions on your behalf. Appointing a person to make medical decisions for you can be very burdensome, however our team can guide and assist you as to whom and when you appoint a trusted person to make medical decisions on your behalf.

Advanced Care Directive

Is a legally binding document that empowers you to make clear arrangements for your future health, care and end of life matters. This document records your decisions and wishes for medical treatment. It also stipulates what medical treatment you do and do not want in case of emergencies. You will need to consult your doctor when completing an Advance Care Directive document.
